Dear Richard…

February 18th, 2010 by sarah

2010 started off strong for me.  I felt inspired and ready for photography action.  But on January 26th…everything changed.  The world lost an amazing person….my sweet stepdad Richard Keates.

I wanted to post this photo of him because it represents him so well.  He was so vibrant and fun!  He was my second father for almost 23 years.  I love you so much Richie.  Thank you for taking such good care of my mom and loving us so much.  I promise to keep your memory alive so Sylvia will always know how important you are/were to me.

Gift Certificates are Fun!

January 12th, 2010 by sarah

You know you want one…. :)  They make great gifts for baby showers, birthday’s, holiday’s, or just because everyone needs to have great photos taken of themselves!!

Who designed this great card??  Well, none other than the amazingly talented Vanessa Warren of Butterfly Sparks Designs.  I’ve fallen in love with Vanessa’s style and creativity.  If you have invitations that you want designed or cards of any sort this is your girl.  I’m hoping to do a lot of fun creative things with Vanessa over the new year.  Plus, she’s just a really awesome person too!

Kelsie and Will {Nashville Wedding Photography}

January 11th, 2010 by sarah

I had the pleasure of starting off the new year by photographing Kelsie and Will’s luncheon Jan 2 celebrating their marriage.  They were married in Dallas this past September and Erin Woosley was their (amazing) wedding photographer.

I got the pleasure of photographing with my wonderfully talented friend Ethan Luck.  We had so much fun together capturing all the great details of the day!  Here are a few of my favorites!

Help-Portrait

December 23rd, 2009 by sarah

When Amy Parman of CJ’s off the Square and Williamson County Weddings and Events sent out a twitter that asked if any of us wanted to get involved in the Help-Portrait…I just knew I needed to be part of this.  It took place on December 12th at my studio and we had so much fun.  Michelle and Joel Hartz of Hartz Photographic photographed families participating in All the Kings Men.  I loved meeting everyone!  I think family photographs are the best gift (that’s what everyone gets in my family!! ) and I love being part of family history.

Thank you’s go out to:

Eugene and Heather Brown - 2Duce2Videography (Realllllllly amazing videography)

Dywaun Brown - All the Kings Men

Crema - For providing fabulous coffee

Publix - for lunch

Naticakes- For yummy cupcakes!!

Ok…now for some photos:

We had such a good time the other day!  I really love how these turned out!  Liz and Daniel, we did get lots of other ones besides the blue wall….but there are so many that I love from there I had to post a whole bunch.  So the theme of this post is blue.  :)  Thanks for letting me indulge in the silly half face shots.

I can’t wait to be part of your wedding next year!!!

Jeremy + Lindsley - {Nashville Portrait Photography}

November 30th, 2009 by sarah

So I was introduced to these two amazing people through my husband…but now I like to claim them as my own.  Such wonderful people.  If you ever get a chance to meet or hang out with them you’re day will immediately become brighter!

Anyway, here are a couple from our little portrait adventure!

What can I say…I like feet photos.  Or lower half photos.
